FAQs About Summer Institute

Q: Who can attend institute? 

A: Girls who are rising Sophomores in high school to rising Freshmen in college (ages 15-18).

Q: How long is the stay?

A: Approximately one week.

Q: How much does it cost to attend a GTT Institute? 

A: $1,950 for the New York Institute and $2,250 for the Colorado Institute. Families cover travel expenses to and from the Institute.

Q: Are scholarships available?

A: Yes. Partial scholarships are available to those who qualify. Please see application for details.

Q: Who are the chaperones? 

A: GTT CEO, GTT Summer Director, and GTT Interns (alumnae of the program).

Q: Do I need to provide health insurance and medical records?

A: Yes.

Q: Do I need a computer? 

A: Yes. We ask students to bring a laptop or iPad. If this is not possible, let us know when applying.

Q: Do I need to bring bedding?

A: Pillow, sleeping bag and bath towel are provided. Students may bring their own personal bedding if preferred.

Q: Do I need to bring any money? 

A: Yes, if you want to purchase snacks, drinks or items from the school stores or shops during site visits. Tuition covers the cost of all meals.

Q: What else do I need to pack for my Institute week? 

A: A packing list, along with a schedule overview, will be sent to all participants a week before attending the Institute.
